I hate having my picture taken and yet I've always been interested in photography. I have studied photography, have a shelf full of photography books, and a ton of cameras but I have chosen to throw all that out the window with this site. For this site I plan to use sub 1 mega pixel camera found in all my electronic gadgets, from cell phone to PDA.
I am in no way comparing myself to Ansel Adams, I am not dead yet, but I keep asking myself, "What would Ansel Adams do with a 1 mega pixel camera?" He was a medium to his medium and I am sure that he would have pushed the limits of every pixel. In this site I will try to push not the medium but myself to take better pictures by using suboptimal cameras.
The logic behind PixShure is that anyone can take great pictures with great cameras. Well, Ansel Adams took great pictures caring a primitive and heavy camera through tough terrain. I personally like the fact that everything but the kitchen sink has a cheap camera. These sub 1 mega pixels are ubiquitous and yet they are lousy because they have no flash, no zoom, and no speed settings. I guess I am attracted to these pictures because of the limitations imposed by the camera itself.
So if you are like me and love bad pictures, I'll sure do my best to take the worst. Enjoy.
